Inside Out Book TAG

I originally saw this TAG on Addlepates and Book Nerds.

Inside flap/back of the book summaries: Too much info? Or not enough? (Discuss)
There's a happy medium sitting somewhere in-between. I don't want to be reading spoilers or the whole plot, but I don't just want to see a load of praise. My favourite blurb was short and sweet.

How gorgeous is that? *swoon*

New book: What form do you want it in? Be honest: audio book, e-book, paperback, or hardcover?
Honestly? E-book. I find them so much more convenient for day-to-day life. If it's the holiday then I'm all over my paperbacks or hardcovers, which I adore. I've never tried an audio-book, but I just don't think they'd be for me.

Scribble while you read? Do you like to write in your books, taking notes, making comments, or do you keep your books clean clean clean? (Tell us why)
NEVER! I actually had to take a moment after reading this. The thought or WRITING IN A BOOK makes me ill. Books are sacred and they should never be defaced.
I use the highlight and comment feature in the Kindle, or if I'm reading a book-book then I'll get a notebook, or take a photo of a quote on my phone.

In your best voice, read for us your favourite first sentence from a book.
A lot harder to think of one than expected.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.

Does it matter to you whether the author is male or female when you're deciding on a book? What if you're unsure of the author's gender?
I really do not care what the gender of the author is, all I care about is the book and if I like it. I've read books by both males and females and I have no preference.

Ever read ahead? Or have you ever read the last page way before you got there?
Maybe. Sometimes. I guess, once or twice.
It's something I hate to admit, but I've done it.
If I'm giving up on a book then I'll read the last chapter to see what happens, but it's not something I like to make a habit out of.

Organised bookshelves, or outrageous bookshelves?
Organised all the way. In fact the idea of my bookshelves being a chaotic mess gets me wanting to organise. I have been known to spend a good few hours reorganising my bookcase.
It's in alphabetical order, by the way.

Under oath: have you ever bought a book based on the cover (alone)?
No, I haven't bought a book based purely on the cover. The cover always plays a big part in the initial attraction to a book, but I will always read the synopsis to check if it's actually something I would want to read.

Take it outside to read, or stay in?
I love to read outside in the summer. Whether it's on holiday by the pool under an umbrella, or in my garden on a lounger. I find sitting outside relaxing and perfect for reading.

I'm not tagging anyone in particular, if you like the TAG then give it a go!
