You may remember that in my
Little Update I said that I was currently reading
Before I Fall, but wasn't enjoying it. Well, I haven't been reading it. At all. In fact it's been on my
Currently Reading shelf on
Goodreads for over a month, clearly I didn't want to write it off too soon. But I think after a month of not reading it, looking at the book sat on my bedside table and feeling guilty, it was about time.
I thought that I would like
Before I Fall, I LOVED
Delirium, and usually if I like an author then my opinion doesn't vastly change after reading more of their work. I just couldn't connect with Sam, her friends or any of the other characters. Actually, I didn't like any of the characters, and to enjoy a book, that's kind of a deal breaker.
Maybe I gave up too soon? I don't know, what I do know is that I COULD NOT read any more. The narrative felt
very young, and overall I'm very disappointed.
